In The Car

Portable Car Cooler

Keeping devices charged on the road is essential, and we’ve found two chargers that make travel life a whole lot easier.

First up, the 100W retractable USB-C cable. It’s fast, compact, and totally tangle-free. The retractable design lets you adjust the length on either side, then store it neatly away when you’re done. Lightweight and powerful, it’s our go-to cable for charging laptops, tablets, and phones without adding bulk to our bags.

For the car, we rely on the Braveridge 75W Dual PD & QC3.0 Smart Power Car Charger. MFi certified and built with advanced safety features, it charges iPhones, iPads, and other USB-C devices at lightning speeds—safely. With dual ports, we can charge two devices at once, and the intelligent chip automatically adjusts power for the fastest, most efficient charge. The zinc alloy design is durable, scratch-resistant, and even has a subtle LED ring so you can find the port in the dark.

Together, these two chargers keep us powered up and ready to capture every moment on the road.

Car Topper

When we needed extra space for our winter gear, the Fivklemnz rooftop cargo bag was the perfect solution. It’s made from tough, waterproof 700D PVC with reinforced seams and comes with 10 adjustable straps plus an anti-slip mat to keep everything secure—even on bumpy roads. Installation was quick our truck. It works with or without roof rails, and it even includes a lock for added peace of mind. It’s a lightweight, flexible option for hauling extra luggage without sacrificing comfort inside the car.

Portable Tire Inflator

One gadget we won’t road trip without? A portable tire inflator. The R8 air compressor is compact, powerful, and inflates a car tire in about a minute—no more waiting around at gas stations. We love the dual digital display that shows real-time and preset pressure, plus the auto-shutoff feature so you don’t have to guess.

It’s built tough with a long power cord, durable hose, and even has emergency light modes for nighttime use. Perfect for cars, EVs, bikes, or even a quick ball inflation. Small enough to stash in the trunk, it comes with its own carrying bag and all the adapters you need. A smart safety essential for every road trip.

Containers

We’re big fans of the Black & Yellow 27-Gallon Storage Containers for keeping life on the road organized. They’re sturdy, stackable, and made in the USA from recycled materials—eco-friendly and built to last. With snap-tight lids, tie-down slots, and lock options, everything stays secure whether you’re storing clothes, gear, or holiday decorations. Perfect for garage, RV, or storage unit organization, these bins are our go-to for tackling clutter and maximizing space.

Luggage (Away)

Bigger Carry-On

When you’re living out of a suitcase, your luggage has to hold up—and Michelle swears by Away’s Bigger Carry-On. It’s lightweight but super durable with a water-repellent shell, so it can take the bumps and scrapes of constant travel.

The 360° wheels glide through airports with ease, and the adjustable handle makes it comfortable to maneuver no matter your height. Inside, the compression system and thoughtful organization mean you can actually fit more than you think—plus it even comes with a water-repellent laundry bag for the not-so-glamorous side of travel.

Classic Carry-On

KT is all about traveling light and smart, and her go-to is the Away Classic Carry-On. The durable, water-repellent shell protects her gear without weighing her down, and at just 21.7 inches tall (wheels included), it fits neatly in the overhead bins of most major airlines.

The smooth 360° wheels make zipping through airports effortless, and the adjustable handle plus underside grab handle make lifting and maneuvering a breeze. Inside, the compression system and organizational features mean KT can easily pack for a 3–5 day trip—plus, the laundry bag keeps clean and worn clothes separate.

Like Michelle’s, it’s TSA lock-secure, airline-approved, and backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Everywhere Tote Bag

Michelle has tried more totes than she can count over the years, and this one has quickly become her all-time favorite. Made with water-repellent nylon and leather trim, it’s sturdy enough for constant travel yet comfortable to carry—whether by hand, shoulder strap, or slipped over a suitcase with its trolley sleeve.

What really makes it a winner is how organized it keeps us on the go: a 16” laptop pocket, water bottle holder, detachable key clip, and hidden zip compartments for passports and essentials. Best of all, it meets airline personal item requirements and fits neatly under the seat.

For Michelle, this tote checks every box—practical, stylish, and ready for every adventure.

Large Checked Bag

We affectionately call this suitcase Big Blue, and it’s been with us on adventures all over the world. It’s the bag we pull out when the weather changes—perfect for hauling our winter coats, boots, and cold-weather layers. On our Alaskan cruise, Big Blue carried everything from puffy jackets to scarves and still had room for cruise essentials.

What we love most? It’s incredibly durable yet lightweight, with a hard polycarbonate shell that takes all the bumps of travel in stride. The 360° wheels glide so smoothly that even fully packed, it moves effortlessly through airports, cruise terminals, and city streets. Inside, the compression system and laundry bag keep things organized for longer trips.

After countless miles, Big Blue still looks sharp and works like new. For us, it’s more than luggage—it’s a reliable travel partner that makes life on the road just a little easier.

Portable Room Fan

One of our favorite little lifesavers on our Alaskan cruise was this portable rechargeable fan. Inside cabins don’t have windows that open, so having a reliable way to keep cool and circulate air was a game-changer.

This fan packs a punch with its high-capacity rechargeable battery—we got a full day of use (10–24 hours) on a single charge. With four speed settings and a quiet five-blade design, it kept our cabin comfortable without drowning out the peaceful hum of the ship.

We loved how compact and lightweight it is—less than a pound and slim enough to tuck into our bags. The foldable stand made it easy to set up on the nightstand, and the digital display was super handy for checking speed and battery life at a glance.

Another bonus? The USB-C charging port. We could charge the fan and another device at the same time using the included cable—so smart for travel.

Motion Sickness Patches

One small but mighty lifesaver on our Alaskan cruise? Natural motion sickness patches. They’re lightweight, easy to pack, and last up to 72 hours—perfect for long sailing days. Made with natural ingredients, they helped us stay steady on the water without taking up extra space in our bags. Available in different pack sizes, they’ve definitely earned a spot on our list of cruise essentials.

Charging Block (Anker)

One thing we didn’t expect on our Alaskan cruise? How few outlets there were in the cabin. That’s why this Anker 6-in-1 charger was essential. With 3 USB-C and 3 USB-A ports (112W total), it let us power everything—phones, laptops, cameras—all at once.

It’s fast, too: our iPhone hit 50% in about 30 minutes, and the MacBook charged quickly without a problem. Bonus points for the included cable organizer, which kept cords neat instead of tangled across the tiny desk. If you’re cruising or traveling with multiple devices, this charger is a total game-changer.

Binoculars

As a wedding gift for KT (and for our first Alaskan cruise), I bought her a pair of ZEISS Terra ED binoculars—and they turned out to be one of the best investments for the trip. We used them daily to spot bald eagles, whales, and so much incredible wildlife from the ship and on shore.

They’re lightweight, compact, and super easy to focus—perfect when something exciting appears out of nowhere. With crystal-clear optics and a special coating that works even in low light or rainy weather, we always had a sharp view. Durable and waterproof, they fit easily in a day bag and stood up to the elements.

If you’re heading to Alaska (or anywhere with amazing wildlife), a good pair of binoculars is a must. These made every sighting unforgettable.

Magnetic Hooks

One of our favorite little travel hacks on our Alaskan cruise? Heavy-duty magnetic hooks. We used them to hang winter coats, wet hats, and other gear in our cabin, keeping everything organized without taking up counter space.

These hooks are incredibly strong—holding up to 120 lbs vertically—and stick easily to any iron or steel surface. The rust-resistant coating keeps them durable, and they’re simple to move around without drilling or tools. A small, lightweight solution that made our cabin feel instantly more organized and functional.

Thermal Mugs (Corkcicle)

One of our must-haves on the Alaskan cruise? Corkcicle thermal coffee mugs. Glacier Bay doesn’t allow paper cups or straws, so these mugs were perfect for keeping our coffee hot while we enjoyed the views.

The triple-insulated design kept our drinks warm for hours, and the flat sides made them easy to grip—even on a moving deck. The silicone non-slip bottom prevented spills, and the durable stainless steel meant they could handle all our excursions. Stylish, practical, and eco-friendly, these mugs were a tiny but essential part of our daily cruise routine.

Portable Laundry Bag

One thing we quickly realized on our 22-day Alaskan cruise? Laundry is non-negotiable—and this pop-up mesh laundry hamper made it so much easier. Lightweight and collapsible, it saved precious cabin space while holding a surprising amount of clothing.

The mesh design kept air flowing to prevent odors, and the sturdy handles made trips to the ship’s laundry room simple. Extra side pockets were perfect for detergent, socks, or dryer balls. Compact, practical, and travel-friendly, this hamper became an essential part of keeping our cabin organized throughout the cruise.

Laundry Detergent Sheets

One of our favorite space-saving travel hacks on our Alaskan cruise? Tru Earth laundry detergent strips. Compact, lightweight, and mess-free, they saved us from lugging heavy jugs or risking spills from squished pods in our cabin.

Each strip is pre-measured for one load, eco-friendly, and gentle on sensitive skin—perfect for long trips when laundry day rolls around. The small, TSA-compliant packaging fit easily into our bags, yet each strip packs serious cleaning power, removing stains and keeping colors bright. For cruises, RVs, or any adventure where space is tight, these laundry strips are a total game-changer.

Packing Cubes

We use packing cubes every day, and our Alaskan cruise was no exception. These lightweight, durable nylon cubes kept us perfectly organized, making it easy to pack outfit by outfit and keep everything wrinkle-free.

The mesh tops let us see what’s inside at a glance, and the sturdy zippers and handles make them easy to carry or move between bags. With over 35% compression, they create extra space in our suitcases—ideal for carry-ons or checked luggage. The set of five cubes fits perfectly in most bags, making packing and unpacking a breeze. For keeping travel-life tidy, these cubes are essential.

Hand Warmers (Alaskan Cruise)

One small item that made a big difference on our Alaskan cruise? Disposable hand warmers. These TSA-approved, air-activated heat packs kept our hands cozy while exploring chilly decks and glacial viewpoints.

They’re simple to use—just remove from the package, shake, and within 15–30 minutes you have long-lasting warmth. Compact and portable, they’re perfect for hands, feet, or even extra warmth in your jacket pockets. Whether you’re hiking, sightseeing, or just enjoying the fresh air on deck, these little heat packs are an essential travel companion for cold-weather adventures.

Disposable Shower Caps

One of our little travel hacks on the Alaskan cruise? Disposable shower caps. We used them to cover leftovers from the buffet and café, keeping meals safe to bring back to our cabin without spills.

These caps are waterproof, stretchy, and durable—big enough for long hair or even for covering small bowls and containers. Lightweight and single-use, they easily fit in our day bag and saved us from messy lids or flimsy plastic wrap. Beyond hair and meals, they’re incredibly versatile—great for shoes, hats, camera gear, or even as a wet bag. A tiny item that made life on the ship a lot easier.

Cold Medication

One thing we didn’t plan for on our Alaskan cruise? The combo of a warm inside cabin and chilly outdoor air made it easy to catch a cold. That’s where DayQuil and NyQuil became lifesavers.

DayQuil kept us going during daytime excursions with non-drowsy relief, while NyQuil helped us rest at night and recover faster. From coughs to fevers, these trusted medicines tackled cold and flu symptoms so we could keep enjoying the trip without missing a beat. For any long adventure, especially in unpredictable weather, having these on hand is a must.

Insulated Water Bottle

Staying hydrated on our Alaskan cruise was a must, and our Chug Cap water bottle made it effortless. We refilled it at the buffet, the gym, or even at a cruise ship bar, keeping water cold for hours thanks to its double-wall vacuum insulation.

The quick half-twist Chug Cap made sipping on the go easy, and the durable stainless-steel design held up perfectly in a busy cruise cabin. With a wide mouth for easy cleaning and refills, it was compact enough to carry around all day—an essential for any adventure where hydration is key.

Luggage Tags (Princess Cruises)

One small item that made a big difference on our Princess cruise? Cruise On luggage tag holders. These clear, waterproof holders kept our cruise tags safe and attached, no matter the weather or how many times our bags were handled.

The stainless steel rings are rust-proof and super durable, built to last through multiple cruises. Updated to fit all Princess Cruise Line tags through 2027, they’re a simple but essential travel accessory from a trusted U.S.-based brand. For stress-free luggage management, these are a must-pack for any cruise.

Medallion Phone Tag (Princess Cruises)

One small item that made life on our Princess cruise so much easier? A medallion phone holder. I stuck it to the back of my phone and popped our medallion in—giving us instant access to our cabin, ship activities, and everything on board.

Made from soft, eco-friendly silicone, it’s lightweight, durable, and protects the medallion while keeping it within easy reach. Installation was a breeze, and it stayed secure throughout the cruise. Just note it can interfere with wireless charging, but otherwise, it’s a simple, convenient way to keep your medallion handy at all times.

Medallion Pocket Clip (Princess Cruises)

One little accessory that made KT’s cruise experience effortless? The Princess Medallion clip. Instead of wearing the medallion on a lanyard or loose in her pocket, she clipped it to her pants pocket—keeping it hands-free and easy to access all day.

Made from soft, durable silicone, it stayed comfortable and secure throughout our Alaska cruise, resisting sweat, scratches, and general wear. Perfect for adults, kids, or anyone who wants a discreet way to carry their medallion, it’s a must-have for cruises, crowded events, or theme parks. Small, simple, and practical, this clip became an essential part of KT’s onboard gear.

Magnetic Card Holder for iPhone

One of my favorite travel hacks? A magnetic wallet that attaches to my phone. I used it every day, but it was a game-changer on cruises—no need to carry a purse or backpack. I just slid my room key into the wallet and I could roam the ship hands-free.

The strong magnets keep it securely in place, and the RFID-blocking technology protects my personal information. Made from premium leather, it’s sleek, durable, and doesn’t interfere with my cards’ magnetism. Compatible with multiple iPhone models and other magnetic smartphones, this wallet makes travel simpler, safer, and much more convenient.

Foldable Weight Bench

We travel full-time, but we don’t leave our strength training behind—and this BARWING adjustable weight bench makes it possible. It’s rock-solid with a 1000 lb capacity, yet folds down in seconds to just 9 inches thick. With wheels for easy rolling, it’s compact enough to bring on the road and set up wherever we land.

The multiple incline, decline, and flat positions mean we can hit everything from presses to rows to core work. It adjusts quickly, stays steady, and feels just like the benches we used in commercial gyms.

For us, this bench is the key to keeping our workouts consistent no matter where our travels take us. Strong, portable, and built to last—it’s become part of our road routine.

Weights

When you live on the road like we do, it’s not always easy to find a gym. That’s why we travel with a set of neoprene dumbbells—and they’ve become one of our favorite pieces of gear for staying strong on the go. We’ve built up a collection of 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, and 25 pound weights, so no matter what kind of workout we’re doing, we’ve got the right size.

We love the durability of the neoprene coating—it feels solid, never slips, and holds up to daily use without chipping or peeling. The nonslip grip is especially great when our hands are sweaty or we’re working out outdoors. Plus, the hexagon ends keep them from rolling away, which sounds small but makes a big difference when you’re lifting in a hotel room or a tiny Airbnb.

Each dumbbell is color-coded with the weight printed on the end, making it quick and easy to grab the right size (no second-guessing mid-workout). The range of sizes also lets us mix and match for strength training, HIIT, and toning workouts—or gradually build up over time.

These dumbbells have honestly been a game changer for staying consistent with workouts while traveling. They’re compact, durable, and reliable—exactly what we need to keep up our fitness routine wherever the road takes us.

Magnesium (Solgar)

Michelle uses this every night as part of her wellness routine, and it’s one of those small habits that makes a big difference—especially while traveling. Chelated magnesium glycinate helps the body absorb calcium properly, supporting strong, healthy bones. It also plays a key role in energy production, nerve health, and muscle function (a lifesaver after long travel days or hours of walking on excursions!).

This formula is designed for optimal absorption, and it’s free from gluten, wheat, dairy, soy, yeast, sugar, and artificial ingredients—so it fits easily into a clean, healthy lifestyle.

Solgar has been around for over 70 years, known for creating high-quality supplements in small batches, and this magnesium is one of Michelle’s go-to essentials for maintaining balance at home and on the road.

Protein Powder (Orgain)

Michelle and KT both use this every single day for an easy protein boost—and it’s been especially handy while traveling. On the road, it can be tough to get enough protein, so we always pack this organic plant-based protein powder. Each serving gives us 21g of protein with zero sugar, plus fiber and prebiotics for gut support.

It’s made with simple ingredients—organic peas, brown rice, and chia seeds—so it has all 9 essential amino acids without the junk. No gluten, soy, dairy, or artificial flavors. Just clean, plant-based nutrition that keeps us feeling fueled and balanced whether we’re at home, on a cruise, or exploring a new city.

We usually mix it with whole protein milk for a quick shake, but it’s also great blended into smoothies or even stirred into overnight oats for a protein-packed breakfast. The creamy chocolate fudge flavor makes it taste more like a treat than a supplement—so it’s one of those healthy habits that’s actually easy to stick with.

Vitamin D + K (Life Extension)

Travel life means we don’t always get the nutrients we need from food or sun. That’s why we pack Vitamins D and K with Sea-Iodine™.

Vitamin D supports bone, brain, heart, and immune health—but safe sun exposure isn’t always possible. Vitamin K makes sure calcium goes into your bones instead of your arteries, and this formula includes both K1 and K2 for maximum benefit. Iodine is essential for thyroid health, but if you’re not eating much seafood (or you’ve cut back on iodized salt), it’s easy to miss.

Each capsule delivers 5,000 IU of vitamin D3, both forms of K2, and 1,000 mcg of iodine—an easy way to stay balanced and energized on the road.

NAD+ (Rho Nutrition)

Long travel days can drain your energy, so we started adding NAD+ to our routine. It supports how your cells make energy, keeps mitochondria (your body’s powerhouses) running smoothly, and even plays a role in brain health and cognitive function. For us, it’s about maintaining steady energy and cellular health so we can keep exploring without burning out.

Fygg Toothpaste

On the road, Michelle and KT have learned that health doesn’t just come from hiking trails, fresh air, or good meals—it starts in the mouth. Research now shows that our oral microbiome connects directly to overall health as we age, and that’s why we’ve been so intentional about the toothpaste we pack.

We’ve fallen in love with Fygg toothpaste. It’s fluoride-free, gentle on sensitive teeth, and uses nano-hydroxyapatite to strengthen enamel naturally. Unlike harsh pastes that leave your mouth feeling stripped, Fygg polishes and brightens while keeping your oral ecosystem balanced.

The ingredients are simple and safe: chicory root, green tea, monk fruit, xylitol—nothing that disrupts the microbiome. No detergents, no essential oils, no SLS. Just clean, natural care created by functional dentists who understand the bigger picture of health.

And because we care about more than just ourselves, we love that Fygg comes in a recyclable tube. Every brush feels like we’re not only taking care of our bodies, but also honoring the planet we get to explore.

Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Magic Liquid Soap - Almond

When you live out of a suitcase, every product has to earn its space. For Michelle, that means a soap that’s gentle on her skin and safe for her allergies. Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Soap is exactly that. The almond scent is light and natural, the lather rich, and it rinses clean without leaving residue. Made with organic, fair-trade oils and no synthetic detergents, it’s kind to both body and planet. A little goes a long way, and the recycled bottles make it even better. For Michelle, it’s the perfect everyday soap—for us, it’s one more way we travel lighter and healthier.

Brazillian Bum Bum Cream

You probably don’t know this, but Michelle is allergic to most scents. That means finding body lotions and face creams that actually work—and don’t cause reactions—has always been tricky. It was an adjustment for KT too, until she discovered this fabulous lotion on a cruise.

This cream feels like magic. It’s packed with caffeine-rich guaraná extract, which helps smooth and tighten the look of skin, while cupuaçu butter delivers deep hydration that actually lasts. It’s antioxidant-rich too, with açaí oil to help protect against environmental stress and Brazil nut oil to support your skin’s natural defenses (and add that healthy glow).

And then there’s the scent: tropical, warm, and just plain delicious, with notes of pistachio, salted caramel, and vanilla. Somehow, it works for Michelle—gentle enough to use, yet so good that KT looks forward to it every day.

It’s one of those rare finds that’s both practical and indulgent—a total win-win in our travel routine.

Liquid I.V.

Travel days and hot climates can take a lot out of you—especially when, like Michelle, you’re naturally low in magnesium and need to be extra mindful about hydration. That’s why she always keeps Liquid I.V. Sugar-Free Hydration Multiplier in Lemon Lime tucked in her bag.

It’s zesty, refreshing, and does more than plain water alone. Each packet delivers electrolytes, vitamins, and nutrients in a science-backed formula with zero sugar and no artificial sweeteners. The best part? The single-serve packets are lightweight and travel-friendly, so staying balanced on a long flight or during a scorcher of a day is as easy as pouring one into a bottle of water.

For Michelle, Liquid I.V. isn’t just a drink mix—it’s a daily travel essential that keeps her energized, hydrated, and ready for whatever’s around the corner.

Electrolyte Capsules (Vitassium)

As a frequent traveler with naturally low blood pressure, I’ve found Vitassium Electrolyte Capsules to be a must-have. Originally recommended by my cardiologist, these capsules give me a simple, effective boost of electrolytes — 500mg sodium and 100mg potassium per capsule — without sugar, mixing, or mess.

They’re especially helpful in warm climates, on long flights, or during road trips, when staying hydrated and balanced is critical. I always keep the lightweight flip-top bottle in my purse for easy access.

Vitassium is gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, and free of unnecessary fillers, making it one of the cleanest electrolyte supplements available. While not a cure, these capsules support hydration, reduce fatigue, and help me stay alert wherever my travels take me.

For anyone who needs extra electrolytes — whether for flying, hot weather, or managing low blood pressure — Vitassium is a reliable and travel-friendly choice.

For our temporary homes

HexClad Frying Pan & Wok

When you’re on the road full-time, you quickly realize that most Airbnbs don’t come with great cookware. Since KT loves to cook, bringing a few high-quality pans was essential—and HexClad is our a favorite.

The 12-inch Hybrid Pan and Wok are our go-tos. HexClad’s patented design combines stainless steel with a nonstick ceramic coating, which means you get the perfect sear and easy cleanup. They heat quickly and evenly, can handle metal utensils, go in the dishwasher, and are oven-safe up to 900°F—basically indestructible.

The pan is ideal for one-pot meals and family dinners, while the wok is perfect for larger batches or mixing up sauces evenly. Both are sturdy but not too heavy, and the stay-cool handles make them easy to use every day.

Backed by a lifetime warranty, these pans aren’t just great for cooking on the road—they’re an investment that lasts. For us, HexClad means KT can keep making healthy, delicious meals no matter where we are.

Salt & Pepper Grinders

For us, fresh ground pepper and a healthy salt are kitchen must-haves—no matter where in the world we’re cooking. That’s why we love this acacia wood salt and pepper grinder set.

Made from sturdy acacia with stainless steel accents and a ceramic core, these mills are built to last. You can adjust the grind size to get everything from a fine dusting to a coarse crunch, perfect for sea salt, peppercorns, or other spices.

Beyond function, they just look beautiful. The rich wood grain and sleek design fit right into any kitchen, whether it’s a rustic Airbnb or a modern condo rental. They’ve quickly become a staple in KT’s cooking setup and an easy way to elevate even the simplest travel meal. Sometimes it’s the little things—like freshly ground seasoning—that make dinner on the road feel like home.

Baja Gold Mineral Sea Salt

We love this salt—it’s good for us, and it tastes amazing. Baja Gold Mineral Sea Salt is harvested to keep its natural trace minerals, so unlike processed table salt, it delivers flavor with benefits. It’s rich in magnesium and potassium, has less sodium, and brings out the best in everything we cook.

Michelle even carries a mini travel-size in her purse for restaurant meals—because once you’ve tried this, it’s hard to go back.

The fine grind makes it perfect for everyday use—seasoning, sautéing, or baking—and the resealable bag keeps it fresh. For us, Baja Gold isn’t just a staple; it’s the finishing touch that makes meals at home or on the road taste just a little better.

KitchenAid Cordless Hand Blender

When you’re living out of a suitcase, you don’t always have access to a full kitchen—but we still love starting our mornings with a protein smoothie. That’s why we travel with the KitchenAid Cordless Hand Blender.

It’s powerful, portable, and cordless, so we’re not limited to where outlets are (a big deal in hotel rooms and Airbnbs). The 12v rechargeable battery gives us plenty of blending time, and the stainless steel blade easily handles fruit, ice, and protein powder. We also like the variable speed trigger—it gives just the right amount of control depending on what we’re blending.

It comes with a BPA-free jar, USB-C charger, and even a pan guard for when you’re blending soups at home. But for us, it’s the smoothies on the go that make it essential travel gear. Healthy, easy, and no cords required.

Milk Frother (Maestri House)

Coffee is non-negotiable around here—and this 4-in-1 milk frother seriously levels it up. With a 600W motor, it whips up barista-quality foam in seconds for lattes, cappuccinos, or rich hot chocolate. We love it and it has completely elevated our morning coffee!

It’s versatile, too—hot or cold froth, hot milk, or chocolate milk at the touch of a button. The 16.9oz capacity means you can make one cup or share with a friend, and cleanup’s a breeze thanks to the detachable base.

Whether we’re editing photos or walking out the door to chase a sunrise, this little machine brings café vibes wherever we go.

For creating content

GoPro Camera

We use the GoPro HERO12 Black to create our YouTube videos, and it’s become one of our most essential pieces of travel gear. From capturing glaciers in Alaska to cruising through new cities, this little camera keeps up with every adventure we throw at it.

What we love most: it’s rugged and waterproof up to 33 feet, so we never worry about taking it out in the rain, snow, or on the water. The battery life is much better too—lasting long enough for us to film continuously without constantly swapping it out.

The video quality is incredible. We’re talking 5.3K resolution with bright, true-to-life colors and the ability to pull crisp still photos straight from video footage. The HyperSmooth stabilization means even if we’re hiking, boating, or filming on the move, the footage comes out steady and professional-looking. Plus, the 360° horizon lock keeps every shot perfectly level.

Whether we’re filming a quick vlog update or capturing sweeping landscapes, this camera makes sure our memories (and our channel!) look their absolute best.

DJI Osmo Mini

Another favorite piece of gear we use to create our YouTube videos is the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. This little camera may be small, but it’s powerful enough to capture our adventures with incredible clarity.

It records in 4K at 120fps and has a 1-inch CMOS sensor, which means even night views, sunsets, and low-light scenes come out beautifully. The rotating 2-inch touchscreen makes it easy for us to switch between horizontal and vertical filming, depending on whether we’re shooting for YouTube or social media.

One of the things we love most is how stable the footage is. With its 3-axis mechanical gimbal, even when we’re walking, dancing, or chasing a moment on the go, the video looks smooth and professional. The ActiveTrack 6.0 feature is another game changer—it keeps us perfectly centered in the frame, even if we’re moving around.

The Osmo Pocket 3 also delivers when it comes to color and sound. With D-Log M and 10-bit color depth, our sunrise and sunset shots pop with detail, and the stereo audio recording keeps everything sounding as good as it looks.

For us, it’s the perfect travel camera—compact, powerful, and easy to use anywhere.

Media Bag

This is the duffle bag we use to carry all of our cameras and media gear when we’re on the road—or in the air. It’s the perfect size at 11.75” x 20.5” x 7.5”, which means it meets most airline carry-on requirements. That makes it our go-to for flights, weekend trips, and anywhere we need our equipment close at hand.

We love how versatile it is. It looks professional enough for business travel but still has that adventure-ready vibe with its stylish black camo lining. Inside, the organizer pocket and key clip make it easy to keep cords, chargers, and smaller accessories in order (which is a lifesaver when we’re carrying so much gear).

It’s also comfortable to carry—whether we’re using the sturdy handles or the adjustable shoulder strap. And when we want to go hands-free, the back panel slips right over our rolling luggage handle, which makes airport connections way easier.

Another reason we chose this bag? It’s part of the brand’s Re:cycled Collection, made from recycled PET bottles. We like knowing that our gear bag isn’t just durable and functional, but also a more sustainable option for modern travel.

Foot Rest

KT has never worked a desk job before—her “office” has always been the outside. But with hours of video editing now part of our travel routine, sitting at a desk became a whole new experience. Enter the BlissTrends Foot Rest—a simple addition that made a huge difference in comfort.

What KT loves most is the adjustable height. With its two-layer design, she can set it just right to relieve pressure during long editing sessions. The curved, ergonomic shape keeps her posture more natural, which means less stiffness and more focus on creating content.

The high-quality foam is supportive but soft, and the non-slip bottom keeps it in place even when she shifts around. It’s also easy to keep fresh—just unzip the cover and toss it in the wash. And when we’re not editing, the footrest doubles as a cushion for flights or long sits on the road.

Affirmation Socks

We’ve been fans of Notes to Self socks since our newlywed days. KT loves them (and I borrow them often!), because each pair carries a bold, uplifting message like I am strong, I am awesome, or I am cruising it.

They’re soft, durable, and made to last—perfect for travel days, cruise adventures, or cozy mornings with coffee. More than socks, they’re affirmations you can carry with you step by step. A fun, thoughtful gift and a daily boost of confidence.

Pig Tabletop Vacuum

We first met “Penelope” on our Alaska cruise. Every night after dinner, our fantastic server Emannuelle would pull out Penelope to clear the table of crumbs before dessert! And it may look whimsical, but it actually works—running on two AA batteries with simple one-touch operation.

It sweeps away crumbs, pencil shavings, dust, and even those tiny dust balls that magically appear everywhere. Compact and portable, they’re perfect for keeping our workspace, car interior, and even keyboards clean while we’re on the road.

Cute, practical, and travel-friendly—it’s the kind of accessory that makes everyday life (and travel) a little tidier and a lot more fun!

Color Collecting Journal

One of my favorite travel rituals isn’t about souvenirs or postcards—it’s about color. Everywhere I go, I bring along my Color Collector’s Handbook, and I give a name to a new shade inspired by the world around me.

It might be the joyful red of a hand-pulled wagon, the steely blue of a city skyscraper, or the soft green of moss on an Alaska trail. Each color is a little memory, a way of capturing a moment without a camera.

This guided journal by artist Leah Rosenberg makes the process even more inspiring. Each spread has a vibrant wash of color with space for me to jot down when and where I found it. It even comes with perforated swatches I can tear out and take with me, plus a clear envelope in the back to save them.

For me, it’s a reminder to slow down, look closer, and find joy in the details. Color is everywhere—it just takes noticing. And honestly, who couldn’t use a little more color in their life?

Tenzi Dice Game

KT and I discovered Tenzi early in our travels, and it has been with us ever since. We’ve played it together on long nights, pulled it out on cruises, and even introduced it to friends along the way. It’s the kind of game that brings instant laughs, a little friendly competition, and a lot of joy. (For the record—Michelle has gotten particularly good at it! 😉)

What makes Tenzi such a travel essential for us is how compact and easy it is. It doesn’t take up much space in our bags, works for all ages, and is simple enough to teach in minutes—yet fast-paced enough to keep everyone hooked.

The bundle we love comes with both the classic Tenzi dice game and the new 77 Ways to Play Tenzi card set, so you never run out of options. Whether you want to keep it quick and classic (race to roll all 10 dice the same) or mix it up with the creative card challenges, it’s a game that fits any mood, family game night, or rainy afternoon at sea.

If you’re looking for a lightweight, pack-friendly game that sparks laughter and competition wherever you go, Tenzi is it.

Operation

One year, KT surprised Michelle with the classic Operation game for Christmas—and not just for nostalgia’s sake. On the road, we’re constantly talking about how carefully we have to navigate tight spaces while packing and unpacking. Operation felt like the perfect, playful inside joke.

Just like the game, it takes a steady hand (and a lot of patience) to fit everything in without “setting off the buzzer.” Of course, the actual game is just as fun as we remembered—complete with the classic red nose, silly ailments, and giggle-inducing buzz when you miss.

It’s become a lighthearted reminder to not take the challenges of travel (or packing) too seriously—and to always leave room for play.

Hummingbird Feeder

As we travel, we’ve loved seeing all kinds of birds—each place brings something new. But the hummingbirds are a favorite. That’s why we take this feeder with us and set it up wherever we are, turning mornings into little moments of magic.

The high-view perch lets the hummingbirds rest comfortably while feeding, giving us a clear view of their vibrant colors and quick movements. The bright red cover draws them in right away, and with four feeding ports, there’s room for plenty of visitors.

It’s also incredibly practical: the bowl pops out for easy cleaning, and the unbreakable polycarbonate construction makes it durable enough for all our travels.

For us, this feeder isn’t just for the birds—it’s part of our morning ritual, pairing perfectly with coffee and curiosity wherever the road takes us.

Digital Photo Frame

Being on the road means we can’t always be with the people we love most, but these Skylight digital frames have been a beautiful way to stay close. We’ve bought them for precious older family members, and they light up every time we send a new photo.

Setup couldn’t be easier—just plug in, connect to Wi-Fi, and photos arrive instantly. From silly snapshots to travel adventures, we can upload moments from anywhere, and they appear right in their living room.

For us, it’s more than just a frame—it’s a bridge across miles, a way to share joy daily, and a gift that keeps our family part of the journey, even when we’re far away.

Edible Orange Glitter

I picked this up for KT just for fun—orange is her favorite color, and nothing makes her smile faster than a sprinkle of glitter on her food or drink. This edible glitter turned out to be the perfect little surprise. It’s vegan-friendly, gluten-free, dairy-free, and non-GMO, so it adds sparkle without changing the taste or texture of whatever you’re enjoying.

And it’s quick and easy it is to use—just a quick shake over coffee or even a dessert, and suddenly it feels like a celebration. The cap makes it simple to control the amount, whether you want a subtle shimmer or full-on sparkle.

The best part? It’s versatile. We’ve tried it on everything from coffee to cupcakes, and it’s always a hit. Whether you’re planning a party, making a cozy night at home special, or just want to add a little extra joy, this edible glitter does the trick. For us, it’s become a small but magical way to brighten up our travels and our table.

We sincerely hope these suggestions give you ideas or help make your travels easier and more organized!
